Washington Anthro Group ("we", "our", "the organization") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. That includes:

• Newsletter signups: your first name and email address.
• Contact and volunteer forms: your name, email address, areas of interest, and the contents of your message.
• Server logs: standard web-server data (IP address, user agent, referring page) retained for a short period for operational and security purposes.

We do not currently collect payment information. If and when donations open, this policy will be updated to describe the payment processor we use and what information is shared with them.

How we use your information

• To send you the updates you signed up for (newsletter only).
• To respond to your message (contact and volunteer forms).
• To operate and improve the website (server logs).

We will not use your information for any other purpose without telling you first.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We will share it only when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or with vendors who help us operate the organization (for example, an email-newsletter platform) under contracts that require them to keep your information confidential.

Cookies

This site uses minimal first-party cookies for functionality (for example, to remember your design tweaks if you visit on a desktop). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. We do not include trackers, pixels, or fingerprinting scripts.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
• Ask us to delete information you've shared with us, or to send you a copy of what we have, by emailing info@anthrogroup.org.
• Block cookies in your browser. The site will continue to work normally.

Children's privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top, and — for material changes — give existing newsletter subscribers a heads-up by email.
