Evergreen Critter Camp.

A pack-in, pack-out gathering under the firs — a temporary community built around art, fire, and radical self-expression. The convention indoors; this is the artform outdoors, in the Pacific Northwest.

What the camp is built on

A few principles.

Borrowed from the best of outdoor gathering culture, and grounded in Pacific Northwest restraint. The details will grow; these won't change.

Pack in, pack out

We leave the land exactly as we found it. Every participant carries out everything they carry in.

Art comes first

The camp is built around participant-made installations, performances, and large-scale works.

Gather around fire

Evenings center on shared fire circles — stories, music, and the slow work of getting to know neighbors.

A community of makers

There are no spectators. Everyone contributes something, whether a workshop, a meal, or a helping hand.

Mutual care

Consent, safety, and looking after one another are the ground rules, not the fine print.

We honor the forest we borrow, and the people who stewarded it long before us.

About the camp

Evergreen Critter Camp will be a temporary community in the woods — a place where members of the anthropomorphic-arts community gather to build, share, and create together. Where the convention is panels and ballrooms, the camp is open sky, shared meals, and art you can walk inside of.

Programming will be participant-led: large-scale installations, performances, workshops, and fire-circle evenings. We're designing for a few hundred people in the first year — small enough to feel like neighbors, large enough to be a village.

Infrastructure, ticketing, accessibility, and the art-grant program are in development. We'll share specifics as land and budget are confirmed.
